Thanks to the Movieblog.com for this info.  Some new interesting information has come out about whats going on with the next installment of Conan.

A Swedish website say's that Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to come back to the franchise and play Conan again but Paradox doesn't want to wait for him.

Fredrik is the head of Paradox Entertainment that owns the rights to the Conan franchise. He says that Arnold wants to play the part of Conan if they can wait a couple of years. Fredrik says that they can’t wait that long and Arnold has instead been offered a cameo as Conans father in the movie after the one beeing developed right now. They hope to make three of four movies.  So who will be the new Conan? Someone, maybe unknown, with acting talent like Gerard Butler in 300 or Christian Bale in Batman. Not a bodybuilder.

It would be totally amazing if Arnold came back to play Conan again but from the sounds of it, it's not ment to be.  If he plays instead the father of Conan, I guess that would be cool but it still won't be the same.  I'm putting my vote in for King Conan starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Since that's not going to happen, I can't really think of anyone who I'd like to play the part.  Who ever play's Conan has to really be macho as hell and seriously be able to kick some total ass.  Who ever they get, I'd rather see the part played by an unknown actor then by someone who's already established.  Lets see where this goes.
