Highlander Remake!!!!!!!!

Highlander

Oh my god! They can't be serious.  One of the best science fiction movies ever made is getting remade.  Screw the other movies and the TV series, which sucked by the way, the very first Highlander that starred Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and Clancy Brown was pure genius and now someone is going to take a giant shit on it and probably make a crappy movie.

Summit Entertainment has Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man writers) to pen a script for the remake.  One of the original producers to the cult hit, Peter Davis will also be producing this movie.  According to Davis this remake will delve into more backstory then the original did and also making this.... more romantic, because he says romance is "key" to Highlander... Wow, I guess he's got it all planned out.

Just like everyone else, I'm sooo sick of remakes.  It's never going to end, it's all just going to keep on going into circles and make our eyes bleed.

Why can’t the producers let this concept *die in peace*? It’s not bad enough that The Source was so horrible that it had to be dumped on SciFi Network, but you’re REMAKING THE DAMN ORIGINAL?

I can’t help but wonder if they’re gonna try to launch another series off this. I admit, I , for one, thought the series rocked once Season 2 started kicking in (midway through), but there’ll be nothing like that movie, and the remake won’t be like it either.

Bad bad bad bad bad bad! NO! This remake MUST not be made. Highlander is a film that has influenced my life in so many ways that this remake would be like rewriting the bible.
