A couple of days ago, IGN reported that a Buck Rogers film was on the way with Frank Miller possibly directing it.

Today io9.com is reporting that although a Buck Rogers film is on the way, Frank Miller will “definitely not directing the Buck movie.” 

Frank Miller would have probably made a pretty cool movie if he directed Buck Rogers, but I guess it’s not ment to be.  He would have directed a very dark and gritty version of Buck and maybe the studio didn’t want that or maybe he was just to busy with other work.  They are still looking for directors but I don’t expect any news for some time.  I’m curious to see who they get and I hope they get a director that has experience with science fiction.
