I’ll say right now, that I never played this video game so I don’t really know what it’s about.  I have seen video clips and trailer so I think I get the idea.

Variety posted up a story, Universal Pictures have teamed up with Gore Verbinski to direct and produce a feature film for BioShock.  Gladiator writter John Logan is apparently in talks with the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy director, to write the script. 

Since I don’t know much about the story behind the game it’s hard to really comment on it.  Most video game movie adaptions aren’t very good but Gore Verbinski is a director who could create a crazy world, so I guess it all depends on Logan writing a good script.  It’s very possible that this isn’t a good mach up for Verbinski but it could also be something that will turn out amazing.  This seems like a movie more suited for someone like Guillermo Del Toro, but he’s obviously busy with finishing up Hellboy II and starting pre on The Hobbit.
