The rumors that a 5th Rambo movie is on the way is becoming more and more likely.  The newest rumor is that Rambo could start shooting next year and might take place in Mexico.  Thanks to MovieHole.com, here’s the story.

According to a tipster for StalloneZone.com, Sylvester Stallone mentioned whilst promoting “Rambo” in Japan that “Rambo 5”, set to film sometime next year, could be a modern-day western. In it, Rambo would go after those that are abducting women in Mexico.

Why is it, that when I read that little block of info, I feel like the magic of the last movie is being tested and possibly wasted.  Maybe Ernest is right and Rambo should be left as is.  Kidnapping Mexican’s doesn’t give me hope for a good Rambo story.  It sounds too commercial and it sounds like something that is not about John Rambo.  Granted this is all just rumor.  Who knows if this movie is actually going to happen at this point.  I’m sure we’ll find out more news as it comes in.
