Wanted Sequel Already In The Works?

Wanted

Wanted hasn't even been released yet but that hasn't stopped Universal Studio's from re-hiring the writers of Wanted to pen the sequel.  Derek Haas and Michael Brandt writers of Wanted revealed to Pajiba.com the story.

DC: What are you working on now? What do you have planned for the future?

DH: We’re just finishing up a book adaptation for Universal of the James Siegel novel Deceit. We’ve been hired to write the sequel to Wanted by the same studio. And we’ve got a few more things in the hopper that it’s a little premature to talk about.

The buzz for Wanted isn't all that big but it also hasn't been spoken that badly about, at least as far as I know.  It's not all that surprising that a studio would expect a action film like this with Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman starrting to be a hit, but they may be jumping the gun.  I think that this movie is going to do better in the box office then Shoot Em' Up from last year but its still to early to tell.

I myself am really looking forward to seeing this.  Since the first trailer that I've seen I've been excited for it.  Just like Shoot Em Up, all I expect from it is just a really fun and action packed, action thriller.  Thats it...  Thats all that I really want.  I want Angelina Jolie to just show her hotness throughout the whole thing and that would make me happy.  I for one like Jolie as an action star.  I like her in anything really.

Wanted hits theaters June 27th.
