I don't mind Vin Diesel as an action star.  I personally like Chronicles of Riddick, but I'm willing to put money on this movie being so terrible.  The poster comes from VinDieselGallery.

Take a look at the new trailer for this sci fi movie.  It doesn't show much at all and I really don't have an opinion on it.  It looks alright at best but it probably isn't.  Here is the synopsis from Moviefone.
