With the green light for the second season, the creators are looking for some new blood to add to the series.

According to TV Guide, casting is currently underway for two new characters that are expected to shake things up a little.

“The show is hunting for a couple of new regulars: Becky, a hot teenaged hipster, and Catherine, an unusually earthy business bigwig in her early forties,” Michael Ausiello said in his report. “Which leads me to believe that young John is about to get a girlfriend. Because of the new teenager, I mean, not the 40-year-old female Bill Gates. Although, now that I mention it, he does have some mother issues.”

I usually don't like it when more regular cast members are added to TV shows because if I don't like the characters it wastes time for the characters that make the show great, meaning Lena Headey, Summer Glau, Thomas Dekker and Brian Austin Green.  I sometimes find it very annoying watching the developement of the new characters.  HEROES had that problem for the second season.  All but two of the new characters really sucked, and what made it worse, they had like 6 or 7 new characters.  Thankfully, TSCC is only looking for two new characters, so its not a big deal.  I just don't want these characters to be stupid.

TSCC has 13 new episodes for it second season, why they just didn't give it 20 is beyond me.  At this moment, nobody knows when we can expect to see the season premiere, but I doubt its going to be this fall.  I'm willing to bet they'll premiere it as close to the release date for Terminator 4 with Christian Bale, as possible.
