Superman Returns Hopefully In Front Of Camera’s Early 2009

Superman Returns

Collider has a excellent video interview with the Superman star Brandon Routh, discussing his current projects more then Superman.  Still, when the question was asked, Brandon said that he "trusts that we'll be shooting Man of Steel sometime early next year."

Along with the interview, he touched on his thoughts about Justice League basically saying that its not the right time for it and that both himself and Christian Bale (Batman Begins) are in a position to bring those two characters to a bigger place and I'd personally have to agree.

If your a fan of Brandon Routh and your interested in his other projects, head on over to Collider.  Brandon seems to be very commited to showing people that he has range as an actor.  I have no doubt that he does.

In other Superman news, AICN posted a story about Thomas Tull (Legendary Pictures) and quotes him as saying that they hope to "invoke more of the image of 'an angry god'," for Superman: The Man of Steel.  Thats all that was said.

I'm only guessing that they kill of the stupid bastard child in the movie and Superman gets pissed...  That alone would make great drama and action.  I wouldn't feel bad for the kid because I though he sucked and didn't belong in Superman Returns, however I'd feel bad for Superman because thats what Superman fans are supposed to feel.

Man of Steel is still obviously a very long way off, so lets see what happens.  I wish they'd start shooting already but with all of the Rights issues to the Siegel family, who knows what will happen.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, look it up on the net... its not a secret.
