Pixar & Warners Look At The Ruins Of Pompeii

Rumor has it that Pixar and Warner Bros. are looking at using the ruins of Pompeii for unknown reasons, or at least for a movie that know one knows about.
Pixar and Warner Bros. Pictures are apparently looking into using the ruins of Pompeii for future movie sets says Newsweek.
The talk comes after Roman Polanski's mega-budget epic "Pompeii," which is presently stalled in production, was shot in Spain due to the "astronomical rental fee" required to shoot in the ruins.
What project Pixar would be seeking it for is anyone's guess, though "1906" or "John Carter of Mars" seem the early favourites.
You really can't blame anyone for the extremely high, whatever it is, rental fee for the usage of Pompeii for movies. Pompeii isn't a simple city block or anything. This is a priceless piece of history that could potentially be damaged from filmmakers.
For whatever reason Pixar and Warners is looking at Pompeii for, I don't know, but I think it would be a pretty cool set for John Carter of Mars. Pompeii would be a cool set for anymovie, whats the difference.
