Nicole de Boer Gates To Atlantis

16 April 2008 No Comment

Nicole de Boer Star Trek Deep Space Nine, season 7 star, Nicole de Boer is stepping foot onto another far off space station.

The wonderful people over at Gateworld.net say that Nicole has been cast in a 5th season episode of Stargate Atlantis on a all woman Atlantis team.  Sounds hot!

de Boer will play Dr. Alison Porter in “Whispers,” expected to air as the seventh episode of Season Five.

In “Whispers,” Alison Porter is a scientist described in the script as a “cute nerd.” She strikes up a friendship with Carson Beckett (guest star Paul McGillion) when he and Sheppard arrive on the planet which Porter’s team is exploring.

The rest of the all-woman Atlantis recon team has also been cast. In addition to Leela Savasta as Captain Alicia Vega (story), the team will consist of Christina Cox as Major Anne Teldy and Janina Gavankar as Sergeant Dusty Mehra.

Its really been a long time that I’ve seen Nicole de Boer on anything.  I’m not a fan of The Dead Zone, so I never tuned into that.  I’m really hoping that the 5th season turns out to be the best season, and better then season 4.  I know people really liked season 4 and I’ll say that the second half of it was really good, but to be honest, the first half sucked.  So I have high hopes that all of s5 will be great.

By the way, over at Joseph Mallozzi’s Blog, he mentions in a post that LOST star Evangeline Lilly auditioned for a role on SG-1 once.  He said that the role was small, but they loved her and they wanted to give her a bigger part.  Once that part came along, they called for her, but she was busy doing another TV show pilot…. hmmm, guess what show that was.  Anyways, I thought that was interesting.
