Oliver Stones W Script Put Out To Bush Biographers

President George W. Bush

This movie is really asking for trouble, and I really don't think its the right time to get made.  Its too early, and Bush is still President.  They should wait at least a term of a new President before even thinking about this.

The question that has been on the movie goers mind is if Oliver Stone is going to make a fair and honest film about the current President.  The Hollywood Reporter went out and did a very interesting thing.  They had their hands on a script to the film, so they sent it out to Bush biographers for their comments.

President George W. Bush is a foul-mouthed, reformed drunk obsessed with baseball, Saddam Hussein and a conflicted relationship with his dad.  Or at least that's how he's portrayed in the script for Oliver Stone's upcoming feature "W."

Thats just one comment.  I'm not doubting Oliver Stone's ability as a filmmaker, but I am doubting that a true and honest story about the President is going to get made.  I won't know until the movie comes out, but I feel like I'm waiting for big propoganda peice.  I also think the cast is the wrong fit but whatever.  Agian, this movie is asking for trouble.

I suggest to anyone who is interested to head on over to the Hollywood Reporter for the full article.  Its really a good read.
