... I sure as hell hope not.  From Movie Hole, via Bloody Disgusting, comes news that the Holloween (2007) director, is in talks with Nu Image & Lionsgate.  Or more accurately he's taking meetings.

According to Bloody Disgusting, Zombie is taking meetings with Nu Image and Lions Gate, the dual shingles behind the relaunch of the “Barbarian”, about possibly being the man to give audiences their first Schwarzenegger-less “Conan” movie

Why is Rob Zombie a director??   He's a horrible director and nobody like's his movies.  That said, why would anyone want to give him the chance to direct Conan.  Zombie doesn't deserve that honor!!!  He'll ruin the franchise just like he basically ruined Holloween, even though I didn't see it, but everyone said it sucked.  Thats not even the point however.  Number 1, don't remake Conan... Its sacralige.  Number 2, get some one who can stay true to mythology, because I'll be money that if Zombie has something to do with this  movie, Conan will be a stupid character, and he'll probably make him a catholic french guy, not a Barbarian.  Hell, they should consider, Stallone to direct this.  He's proven to be a good director.  They should give him a shot at something that he can focus all of his directors skills on, and not worry about acting.

The bottom line is that I think Zombie shouldn't be allowed to get near Conan, and I don't think Conan should be remade.

This movie belongs to Schwarzenegger...
