Star Wars Return To The Theaters?

Star WarsIt looks like Star Wars is headed back into theaters, but its not the live action version we all know, its the new Animated Clone Wars series.  The downside, is that its rumored to hit theaters in the UK.

It looks like George Lucas' upcoming CGI animated TV series Star Wars: Clone Wars may be coming to theaters in the UK. AICN and action-figure.com are reporting that the film will debut in May around the same time as Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The report indicates that the feature film would be the first four episodes of the TV series edited together into a ninety-minute movie. The narrative will focus on secondary characters from the Star Wars universe and their involvement in the Clone War.

There is no word at this time if the film version of the series will play in the United States.

I don't see why it wouldn't play in the United States...  It wouldn't make sense finacially at least.  God knows that the box office take would be mostly from domestic fans.

I'm looking foward to this.  Just like everyone else, I love the Star Wars franchise, and I have been for months really pumped for the live action TV series in the works.  The Clone Wars is an historic event within that universe that we unfortunately couldn't see in live action, but even though its animated, I expect it to be really entertaining.  If it shows up in US theaters, I just might have to make plans to take a look.  I know my brother Frank would... He's the family Jedi.... Well actually he's a Stormtrooper and he loves it.
