The USS Enterprise First Look

This is the moment that Star Trek fans and a lot of movie fans in general have been waiting for.  What will the Starship Enterprise look like in JJ Abrams, Star Trek?  Moviefone has given us an answer, or rather a first look.  They have the exclusive first photo of the Enterprise as it's being constructed.  Unfortunatly it isn't a full view of the legendary ship, but it's still a glorious shot.  Take a look for yourself.

As usual, click the photo to enlarge.

USS Enterprise NCC 1701

My god in heaven, would you look at that.  ILM has done it agian.  Just in that photo alone, you can see all the detail they put into this.  I'm assuming that this is what we'll see in the teaser trailer, as it is the Enterprise under contruction.  Even though its not a full view of the ship, overall I have to say I'm loving what I'm seeing so far.  Those who watched Star Trek over the years can agree that its contempory in design, as it were in ST.  The nacelles are gigantic... I can't wait to see what it looks like in full view.

So, what do you think?  Do you like it, hate it or not care?

And to quote that Captian Kirk, "my friends we've come home."  Only fans of the franchise know which film thats from... otherwise, pay no mind.

I’m guessing your quote is from the end of ST IV: The Voyage Home.

And you’re right it, it does feel like home.

“Let’s see what she’s got” yeah baby!!! i cant wait to see this. hopefully this will be better than JJ’s newest flop!

Hey Knucle. Do you even read this site. How is Cloverfield going to be a flop. It cost $25 million to make… This is a cash cow for Paramount. They’ll end off with 30 to 40 million this weekend. Thats easy money. Also, JJ Abrams almost had nothing to do with it. He was a producer. He didn’t direct or write it.

As for Star Trek, I’m as excited as the both of you.
