Brandon Routh Still Is Superman
It was reported a couple of days ago, that Superman: Man Of Steel, was in some production trouble. More along the lines that nothing was happening. The WGA strike prohibites a script from being written plus, from the sounds of it, director Bryan Singer may not return. Also, this lead to rumors that Brandon Routh may be out as well. All of that is terrible news. However, AICN is reporting that a reliable sorce says that Routh leaving isn't so.
I just got off the phone with a very high-ranking mole who is absolutely in a position to know what's happening with this film, and he tells me that it is "absolutely false" that Brandon Routh is out as Superman for the stand-alone series.
The only thing that has been determined is that JUSTICE LEAGUE will not feature the actors from the other films. That's it.
Right now, Routh is still Warner's choice to return if they make another stand-alone SUPERMAN film, and that's based on conversations as recently as a few weeks ago.
Don't believe this one, kids. Routh's still the Man of Steel.
Thank God!! Brandon Routh is of course a remarkable Superman. He honors Christopher Reeve, and I can't see anyone else playing Superman. When Routh got casted a couple of years ago I had a hard time believing anyone could be as good as Reeve, but Routh really suprised me on how perfect he actually is in the role. I really do hope a sequel gets made, but all of these production problems worry me that it will never get made. The WB is more concerned in giving us a shitty move like Teen Titans.... I mean Justice League. What balls the WB has on making a movie about superheroes in high school. This movie is going to be terrible, and I don't have any plans to see it in theater. I'll pass on that one.
