Bionic Woman Cancelled

ImageShack

Apparently this news came out at the beginning of the week and I only saw it now.  I guess no one really cares enought to put it up all over the net with the rest of the news.... I guess it just goes to show you why it was cancelled.  Hollywood.com is reporting, or has reported that the NBC series has been canned by studio execs.

HOLLYWOOD - Actress Michelle Ryan has lost her role on TV show Bionic Woman after the program was cut by studio executives.Following the Hollywood writers strike, the cast of the sci-fi remake saw their contracts with Universal Media Studios suspended in November and production was temporarily halted.

However, the action-packed drama series has now been scrapped after just eight episodes, with producers blaming a massive drop in ratings for the decision.

Well thats upsetting news to me.  I liked Bionic Women and I was hoping it would continue.  I really enjoyed watching Michelle Ryan... And of course loved Katee Sackhoff, who was seriously sick in this show.

I also think its such bull a show gets cancelled after only 8 episodes during a strike year.. that seriously doen't make any sense to me.  Your thoughts?

I won’t deny I lost interest by the 2nd episode but I think the cancellation is part of a bigger picture (directly related to your editorial). This seasons new shows are basically on a suicide run thanks to the strike and won’t be getting the 2nd chance many of them deserve.

This information is false…on tvguide.com they talked to NBC and said that it has not been cancelled!

I’ll put it this way. The way all of this news is starting to conflict with each other… I say, If its not on next year… then we know if its been cancelled ;)
