Resident Evil 4: “Too Early”
IGN was able to talk to Jeremy Bolt, producer of the Resident Evil films, and ask him about the future of the franchise. There have been rumors said around the release time of RE4 that the future may lead to spinoff films, lead by Ali Larter's (Heroes) character Claire Redfield. In response, Larter stated that all depends on how successful the film is. Honestly the only good thing about that movie was Ali Larter, everything else was just too dry.
When IGN asked Jeremy Bolt what the future holds for RE, this is how he responded.
"It's not our intention. But we've been very pleased that the third part of the franchise has done so well. Ali Larter is a terrific Claire Redfield."
IGN went on to ask him about the time when he was insistent that they'll be no sequel.
"We haven't changed our minds. We just want to be respectful and I think the thing is we're in the middle of Death Race," Bolt explained. "We haven't really focused on it. We would certainly like to look at it, but I wouldn't want to say we were or weren't doing anything at this point. Too early."
As much as I think RE3 wasn't all that good, I didn't hate it. I just found it to be.... boring maybe. It was very dry in character development, and I didn't think the action was all that impressive. There just wasn't all that much for the characters to do, except Alice, Milla Jovovich's character. Don't get me wrong, i'm a sucker for Milla's action movies, even though none of them are all that good, except the 5th element. I can always go for more Milla films. However, I think they should simply close up on Resident Evil. If they are really going to make another one, maybe they would be better off doing a spinoff with Ali Larter's character. That said, I think it would be best just to move on from the franchise and go on to other things.

Resident Evil 4….no problem, but give me another Milla Ultra Violet movie….now thats what I’m talking about!!!
It wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t great either, pretty much worthy of a DVD rental for a lazy evening. I was a little annoyed with how they air brushed Milla’s face for all the close ups. She must’ve been really wanting to keep her cosmetics contract safe.
